The last item to be done on the tank is topping the tube.

Using pliers and channel locks put the "cap" on the tube (holding the tube still with the channel locks and twisting the cap on with the pliers.

Tighten it without moving the tube!  After it has a week to dry and set, we will change the cap for a water spigot.

It is very important to stress to the owner that they should not move, bump, mess with, or touch the capped tube for a week.

If they do, they will loosen the tube and water will filter or pour out of the hole around the tube.

If they have kids or if the tank's tube is in a high traffic area of their yard, they may need to protect it by placing a chair or box in front of it to keep it from getting bumped or abused.

The tank needs to be filled with water the evening of the 4th day.

This tank was partially filled the evening of the fourth day.  It should be filled to the brim!

This needs to be stressed over and over and over again to the families.

The cement will continue to cure and get harder as long as there is water for the chemical reaction.

Most people only think cement "dries" and don't under stand the concept of "curing".

You just have to tell them that it HAS to have water because the "ingeniero" says so.
