The wire mesh is joined by bending the points of one end around the upright of the opposite edge (end) to secure it. 


The ends will be bent back with a hammer, tube or pliers.

After checking to make sure that the malla isn't caught below the mold because is slipped down,

you will kink the malla using a crowbar or claw hammer to tighten it down to the mold.

The wire mesh needs to be kinked every place where it does not fit tightly against the mold.

It needs to be tight against the mold or the first pass of cement will be too thick, use too much mix and not dry quickly!


Once the malla it is kniked properly, you will take a 4.30 cm section of chicken wire and stretch it around the tank mold. 

The chicken wire here is too tall so you will need to cut off one section of wire and set it aside to use later.
Tie or knit  the two loose ends together as shown in the photo.

The ends of the chicken wire will then need to be bent around each other (a lot like sewing).
