Meet Kieth &Kathy Larrimore

Kieth and Kathy Larrimore, with their two sons Ian (21) and Stephen (16), officially joined Equip in 2000, after having been appointees with them since 1998. Kieth's background is in industry and technology. He has a B.Sc. in Industrial Management Technology and worked for eighteen years in the industrial field. His overwhelming desire was to use his skills, interests and experience to help minister to others in practical but effective ways. Kieth found the opportunity to serve on a full-time basis when the Lord opened the doors for him to work with Equip.

After going through the training in 1999 and serving in Nicaragua during 2000, the Larrimores returned to Marion, NC. Kieth now serves as the Appropriate Technology Institute Coordinator for Equip's training center at Providence Farm. Over the past three years he has received additional training and experience in well drilling through Living Waters International in Houston, TX, and also in the manufacture and use of the BioSand water filter through CAWST in Calgary, Canada.

As well as coordinating the ATI program and teaching the well drilling and water filter courses, Kieth also serves as an instructor during the food production program and works in other capacities around the Farm. Kathy teaches some of the classes during the Food Production course and assists Kieth with cabin preparation and other activities at Equip including Spring Harvest. Stephen helps Kieth maintain the bees on the farm, helps teach the beekeeping during Food Production, and is also involved in Spring Harvest, cabin preparation, and various other projects on the Farm. Ian is in his third year at Columbia International University in Columbia, SC, where his field of interest is intercultural studies.

Locally, the Larrimores are involved in various Hispanic ministries which include teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) Children's ministry, and helping with music in a local Hispanic congregation.
