Canada Training Center - The Knoll
The Knoll Retreat Centre -- a ministry of Equip Canada -- provides a year-round sanctuary for Christian retreats. Individuals, small groups and mini conferences will enjoy its woodsy atmosphere. 
Nestled on 17 forested acres overlooking the Koksilah River, The Knoll boasts tranquility and majesty. Let God revitalize your body, mind and spirit as you take pleasure in meditating, walking, swimming, or exploring the sights and delights of the surrounding Cowichan Valley.
Facilities
Three self-contained units and a multi-purpose room are available to serve individuals, families or groups. The Knoll is equipped with wireless Internet access.
The Lodge has three levels and sleeps six to eight people. There is a large kitchen and dining area, three bathrooms and a great room with cathedral ceiling. A magnificent stone-faced gas fireplace provides comfort and warmth. The spacious deck overlooks the river.
The Chalet can sleep up to six people on two levels. It has a three-piece bath, and combined kitchen, eating area and living room. A large French door/window provides spectacular river views and access to the deck area.
The Cottage enjoys a quiet and secluded location, sleeping up to four people on one level. It features ensuite bath, a small kitchen and a moderate-sized eating/living area. There is direct access to the forest and river.
The Multi-purpose Room is available for groups. It seats sixteen in a lecture-style setting, or accommodates twenty-four for a meal. It has a two-pice washroom, and is equipped with a PowerPoint projector and screen, TV, VCR, DVD and a whiteboard.
Missionary training courses
The Knoll Retreat Centre doubles as a missionary training centre each year. Equip Canada, whose primary purposes are missionary training and sending, offers a two-week Missionary Medicine Intensive course, as well as a one-week course in Community Health Evangelism.
The Knoll is on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, about 75 minutes drive from either the Victoria or Nanaimo ferry terminals. First find Highway 1.
The retreat centre is located at 3239 Renfrew Road. This is 3.7 kilometres west from the junction of Renfrew Road and West Shawnigan Lake Road.
You will be driving on unpaved road for the last 1.3 km. Look for The Knoll sign on your right.
Bookings
We confirm bookings with a 25 % deposit. Damage deposit of $100.00 is payable with the final payment two weeks before occupancy, and will be refunded within two weeks of departure if no damage has occurred. There is a surcharge for extra persons staying overnight with groups.
As The Knoll is a designated Christian retreat centre, its use is reserved for groups and activities compatible with our Statement of Faith.
