After over two years of living in Canada the Sperling family has decided to move back to Uganda! They will be continuing to work with orphans in the area of agricultural training. Chris and Jane and their four boys Andrew, Kenny, Albert and Isaiah will be working alongside of two organizations that work with orphans. One is called Orphans Know More (formed out of a YWAM project) and the other is called Bushfire Children's Center (a Hope for the Nations Project). These organizations are situated near Jinja which is a city set on the banks of the Nile River where it flows out of Lake Victoria. Orphans Know More is a community based project that helps families who have taken in AIDS and war orphans into their homes. Many of these families are taking care of numerous children in addition to their own. The goal is to provide training and appropriate help for these families thus enabling them to become financially and spiritually stable. Chris will be helping to organize agricultural projects and the everyday farming activities of these families so as to help them meet everyday needs such as food, clothing, shelter and education. Bushfire is a Children's Center that has taken in orphaned children in so as to provide for all of their needs so they may grow up to be mature young men and women. Chris will be helping to train both children and staff in agriculture. The center has numerous gardens and pieces of land that it would like to use to produce food and income for the ministry - Chris will be helping to organize this as well. Primary School Homeschool Teacher needed immediately to teach the Sperling's two primary school-age boys age 6 and 8 according to the BC school curriculum.  For more information and details email Chris Sperling.  Qualifications are a minimum high school education, good references from church pastor, background check will be done, love for children, good command of English grammar and primary math.  Creativity and patience are a great asset.  Food and housing is provided at no cost.  It is expected that this position will be filled as a missionary/volunteer position.  All costs of getting to and from Uganda and additional spending money will be supplied by the successful applicant.  Long-term commitment is preferred.
