ATI - Food Production Technologies
You have been sent to live in a virtual desert, and you must provide food for your family... McDonald's is nowhere to be seen!
What is there to eat?
How many of us really know how to grow all of our own food, to prepare meals from scratch, or even how to determine the nutritional value of what we are consuming? How can you introduce new and better food sources and farming practices to an area suffering from poor soil conditions, climate challenges, and limited resources? Your family's and perhaps your entire community's lives depend on your ability to provide good nutrition using the resources that are available in your area.
Our Food Production course is designed to address these and other related areas of importance. Classes include plant husbandry (irrigation techniques, soil and plant management, intensive gardening and food production systems, animal husbandry (herd health, management and product utilization), and aquaculture (fisheries management).
