Pumping Water Technologies
This one-week course provides students with a "hands-on" participatory training environment using actual hand pumps, electric pumps and gravity pumps. Equip's campus has 12 different types of pumps for students to experience: including India Mark II, Afridev hand pumps, Ram, Jet and direct actions pumps. During this course, these pumping systems will be examined, disassembled and then reassembled. Students will first learn how these pumps work; later Equip instructors will insert faults into these pumping systems for the student to troubleshoot and repair.
Pumping systems repair is an excellent addition to drilling because the cost to repair existing water wells is usually a fraction of the cost of drlling new water wells.
